Trained German Shepherd Dog
A trained german shepherd dog can be obtained from rescues that provide training before releasing the dogs.
Present-day purebreds of this breed are far from their ancestors. Some lines of the breed preserved in Germany are closer to the origin; they tend to be larger with a broader head and darker coat. These animals are hardier and less prone to hip dysplasia and other disorders. This line is praised for its working ability, but it poses a greater challenge in terms of training. Fanciers of this type try to raise it to the status of a separate breed. Many bloodlines bred in America are smaller with less sloping to their hips.

Trained German Shepherd Dog -
rescues, training
As the war began the name of the breed was changed in order to save it. Otherwise the dog would have been on the verge on extinction. After the war, the original name was reinstated. In Britain, the name was changed to the Alsatian, although the full former name was finally reinstated in 1979. The peack of the popularity of the breed was partially caused by movie stars: Strongheart and Rin Tin Tin. The breed was the number-one spot in American popularity for many years thanks to its characteristics and good trainability.
